Cycle for Cure / Cycle for Survival 2019
Roz Ziskroit Raises over $6,000 for the Rocky’s Roadies Team, Resulting in Being the Causes’ 2nd Largest Donator!
Roz and the Sirina Fire Protection Familyl would like to thank everyone for their participation and donations!
Sirina is proud to announce Roz Ziskroit’s 4th year participating in Cycle for Survival in the fight against cancer.
It’s a way of life, a celebration, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
This year Roz is dedicating her ride to the memory of Anthony Florez, Founder and Chairman of Sirina Fire Protection Corp. Mr. Florez had a vision for where and how the fire and life safety industry could progress to provide higher standards of protection. Mr. Florez was a humble and generous man, expecting no recognition or accolades in return; a force not to be reckoned with. His infectious smile will be missed. This can be a WIN, WIN, WIN! More donations mean more money to be used to fight against cancer!
Please join Roz in this fight against cancer by clicking here or joining next year. Thank you for your support!
Sirina 2nd Annual Donation to “Toys For Tots”
Sirina Fire Protection employees donate toys to the less fortunate for a second consecutive year
The U.S. Marine Corps’ has been donating toys for the last 70 years. Last year Sirina decided to follow their example and give back to the community during the holiday season. This was our second year participating
More than a thousand people took part in the 11th annual Soldier Ride to raise money for Wounded Warriors.
The 25-mile course took cyclists from Lindenhurst to Overlook Beach. Among the participants were 50 members of the armed forces who have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan with life-changing injuries.
In July of 2018 Chris Allen an employee of Sirna Fire Protection and captain of Team Overwatch rode 25 miles and raised in excess of $3,500 towards this very worthy cause.
The purpose of this fundraising Soldier Ride is three-fold:
- To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.
- To help injured service members aid and assist each other.
- To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
Chris and Sirina Fire Protection thank you for your continued support.
Operation Backpack donates a school bag full of supplies they will need for their grade
Since Volunteers of America-Greater New York was founded in 1896, they have relied on community support to help enrich the lives of those in need. Every backpack given to a child through Operation Backpack® is filled with brand new school supplies according to the child’s grade, so that these children look and feel just like their classmates.
For example, high-schoolers get a dictionary and a scientific calculator, while the youngest children receive watercolor paint sets, washable markers and drawing pads. Children preparing to take geometry receive a protractor, compass and graph paper. Sirina Fire Protection and its employees are proud to have been able to contribute to this cause.
Cycle for Cure / Cycle for Survival
Cycle for Survival is an initiative created to fight rare cancers.
Rare cancer patients make up about half of all people fighting cancer, but they often have limited or no treatment options because rare cancer research is drastically underfunded.
Cycle for Survival raised $30 million in 2016—more than $140 million in a decade. Every single dollar is directly allocated to rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center within six months of the events.
In March of 2018, Rosalinde Ziskroit, an employee of Sirina Fire Protection, participated in her third year supporting Cycle for Survival.
Since becoming involved with Cycle for Survival, she has committed to help beat rare cancers. We have all been touched with stories of someone losing a friend, a loved one and with continued support, one day a cure will be found to beat rare cancers.
She rides for those we love, for those who can’t, for those fighting today and for those who will fight.
Roz and Sirina Fire Protection thank you for your continued support.
Sirina Employees Donate Over 100 Gifts to Toys for Tots
Sirina Employees donate over 100 toys this holiday season to the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots Program
Anthony Florez, Chairman of the Board and Owner of Sirina Fire Protection commented “With our employees’ generous support, we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of many less fortunate children, who otherwise might have been forgotten.”
For nearly 70 years, Toys for Tots has been the U.S. Marine Corps’ premier community action program. The Toys for Tots message of hope for the future has motivated youngsters to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Toys for Tots not only benefits children, but also has a positive impact on communities, on businesses – large and small, on the Marine Corps and on the nation.
